The O Group‘s branding for Ai Fiori is a experimentation with flourishes that do not over do it. They are accoutrements that accent and add to the brand’s visual vibe in a quaint, but powerful way. From the restaurant’s stationery through its menus and down to the logo itself, the Ai Fiori identity is a meld of modern and classic style.
I honestly thought I had covered this work before, but after searching through my own blog, realized I didn’t. Foreign Policy Design Group put together this quaint, but amazing identity for Table No. 1. Marked by a witty business card design (that folds into a table), the restaurant’s identity is decidedly rustic and rough; it’s raw. It’s congruent with the vibe and experience as well as the cuisine. This one is dead on. Thanks to CreativeSprk for reminding me that I didn’t cover this.
This small brand identity package for Kyoto Express sushi restaurant is an exploration in cliche Japanese style, but done in an interesting and poignant way. The bright contrasting colors that normally clash, work in harmony here to create a vibrant vibe and tone to the brand. The logo isn’t much to talk about as it’s expected and not very innovative, but the supporting identity elements take this brand to the next level. Designed by Yotam Bezalel
John Turner designed up this lovely restaurant brand identity for PARISH here in Atlanta. It’s a nostalgic angle using classic design styles to make the identity rustic and homey. Earth tones seal the deal with little accoutrements that support and build the brand.
The design studio, Craig and Karl, brings us this fantastic little restaurant branding package for the restaurant The Commons. What makes this pop is the strong black and white driven minimalistic illustrations that collectively create the graphic language for the brand itself. It says chic. It says classy. It says modern. The website is also well done with a unique take on map display as well as other unexpected delights.
Little Chef is a chain of family restaurants in the UK. The branding of this restaurant is brilliant. The iconic “Pillsbury doughboy” has been streamlined and simplified. The execution of the brand takes it to a whole new level. Every detail has been considered and designed from uniforms to interiors and even sculptures that push this brand into a category of its own.
Special thanks to BRAND NEW for bringing this to light. Designed by Ab Rogers Design.
We had a lovely time developing the brand identity for IceHouse Restaurant & Grille. As a new restaurant opening in Palmyra we were tasked with building the image as experienced in menus, logo, most signage, website, and various other elements. Our goal was to meld the traditional, antique nature of the building with the contemporary vibe of the cuisine and interior design. Not an easy task. Here are most of the results:
Restaurants tend to jump into logo designs. Some are great. Some are pretty bad. Our suggestion would be to hire us for your logo design, but we understand that that’s not always in the budget. At the very least, here are some points to take into consideration so you too can have a great logo.
