Aiding Mindlin’s March to Mayor

Here at Vigor, we’ve never taken a stance politically with our work. It seems politics and religion are just way to touchy and subjective for our tastes. However, here in Harrisburg we have a real race going on for the Mayoral seat. An incumbent is on the way out the door, but not without a fight. Another candidate has contributed to the negative state of the city in more ways than we can count. We believe in change and therefore felt the need to not only speak up, but actively help out the campaign. So, we officially launched the website for Harrisburg’s mayoral candidate, Nevin Mindlin. Painting a better picture

Posted by Joseph Szala on June 9th, 2009 // No Comments »

When I first came across Fang Ling Lee’s work here in Harrisburg I was immediately enamored. I loved the smooth strokes mixed with interpretive elements. So, we reached out and came to an agreement to redesign her lackluster website. Yesterday Vigor launched Ling’s website at www.fanglinglee.com.

The new site features content completely maintained and edited via our proprietary content management system, VIM. With dynamic galleries, events listing and links to ecommerce, Ling’s artwork is finally displayed in all it’s glory. Enjoy.

Whoa Mama! New packaging and branding for hair care line

UPDATE // This work has just been featured on renowned packaging design website, The Die Line

When we were approached by the mom’s at 5th Avenue Salon in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, we were ready for a challenge. Like many salons, 5th Avenue wanted to put out a hair care line, but didn’t know where to start. Vigor’s unique approach to branding, strategy and positioning garnered the intelligence needed to develop a position, naming and design.

Packaging design for hair care line focused on mothers.

Revamped for a new coach and new mentality, the Oakland Raiders.

Revamped for a new coach and new mentality, the Oakland Raiders.

So, my personal favorite NFL has hired their coach. I’m happy to say it’s the coach made interim during the season, Tom Cable. Congrats to Tom and I hope we see more of the team we saw near the end of the season. Steelers fans feel free to thank the Oakland Raiders for your gateway to the superbowl.

As a gift to my favorite team, I have taken some free time to redesign their horrible logo. Jason, the other half of Vigor and illustrator extraordinaire, helped form this new logo into it’s true badassness. Read the rest of this entry »
